Loved the travel board and then laughed out loud when I got to the second half. Even my just 11 year old can beat me!! I think I'm just too distracted when playing (always thinking of what else I have to do!)

Hi "Quintessence" -- Yeah, I have a way to go before I can give up this law gig and turn to professional backgammon playing!

I discovered long ago that I am utterly incapable of playing any board or card game whatsoever to any standard beyond 'dire' so if the board games come out I return to my default position and curl up with a book - or hide depending on how determined people are to make me join in!

Hi LizF: I can just about manage a low standard of play at board games (enough to entertain my young niece and nephews) but I'm hopeless at card games. But wait a minute . . . isn't it supposed to be "unlucky in cards, lucky in love"? Hmm? I need to look into this.

Hello "Simply Luxurious:" Those travel backgammon sets are chic enough to make me want to re-learn the game. And again--thank you for the kind mention on your site, and have a lovely -- and "simply luxurious" holiday.
